COVID-19 Response Info for Project Customers

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY

The following policy is in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.  It takes effect immediately.  We will be updating and adjusting the policy as the situation evolves.

Give the serious circumstances, which are changing almost daily, it is critical that together we take responsible action to protect each other and our community from this expanding health crisis.

Please not that we do not take this action lightly.  As partners in the construction industry, we all want to ensure that the safety of the workers on our jobsites continues to be our first priority.  Additionally, we want to avoid any job losses due to a jobsite being shut down due to an outbreak of COVID-19.

While we have tried to make the points below expressly clear, undoubtedly there will be questions that arise as we are all in unfamiliar territory with this situation.  We will do our best to thoroughly answer your questions and concerns.

X-treme Mechanical’s COVID-19 Response Policy for Projects:

  • Workers who travel to known virus hot-spots (as of the date of this policy are Washington State, California, New York, Massachusetts, Chicago) shall not return to the jobsite until 14 days after their return.
  • Workers that have traveled internationally to a CDC identified COVID-19 area will not be permitted to come back to work for 14 days after such travel.
  • Workers who vacation internationally or on a cruise ship must obtain physician approval to return to work following their trip.
  • Workers who travel within the United States should be aware of the evolving hotspots of community-spread cases and may be required to quarantine for 14 days upon return.  For guidance from the CDC regarding traveling within the US, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-in-the-us.html
  • Workers who travel within the state should be prepared for the possibility they will be directed to self-quarantine for 14 days after their return if the area they visited is deemed a hotspot.
  • If a worker or a family member has been directly exposed to the virus through a confirmed case, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, the worker must self-quarantine and notify X-treme Mechanical.
  • Workers should respect and adhere to the COVID-19 policies and guidelines set forth by each client at each jobsite location.  The X-treme Mechanical’s COVID-19 Response Policy will only take precedent if the client’s COVID-19 safety precautions are less restrictive than the X-treme Mechanical’s COVID-19 Response Policy.
  • Workers on X-treme Mechanical job sites, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 are not to report to work/jobsites, or are to leave work/jobsites immediately, and should plan to self-quarantine and get tested for COVID-19. Workers are not allowed back onsite until they are free of symptoms for 24 hours and/or have a negative COVID-19 test.
  • Workers with live-in family members experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 are to self-quarantine.
  • Meeting involving external visitors and/or vendors must be conducted via conference call or video conferencing.
  • In-person visits to X-treme Mechanical’s office and temporary jobsite locations by vendors are limited to those that are considered absolutely essential to ongoing pre-construction efforts and cannot be conducted via conference call or video conferencing.
